Because my husband loves me..

..or because I just wouldn't leave him alone, I am the most excited owner of a new DSLR. This winter times got a tiny bit tuff and I had to sell my D60 to help pay some bills, I was extremely disappointed because I loved the camera but I had been wanting to upgrade, So I said goodbye to my old camera and waited (mostly patient) for a new one. Well things took a turn for the better and so I decided I had scarified long enough and needed a new one. SOOO totally worth getting rid of my old one, I will miss it because it was my first one but so in love with the new one, my kids hate me.
I am so excited for summer and so are my cute little kiddos, Zack and Tom both claim they are going to Rodeo this summer - But I don't know if we have that much extra time, Hopefully they'll be able to both do some, but poor little pudgy who probably wants to do it more than both of them together (all I ever hear is "Mom, watch me go rope!" or "Mom, can we go rope a cow?") is still a little young to be doing it this year.
Our next door neighbor just got two new goats, and needless to say in every video I take of my children you can hear them crying in the background, (it never stops) but she hates my "horrible mean dogs" so perhaps we're even. I wish we lived in the middle of nowhere. Now I totally get why my parents live where they live. I keep on trying to tell Zack we need to just build us a new house on the back of our property because there are no houses back there but he tells me it costs money.
Thomas is done with gymnastics for the summer and I think he was kind of excited because he thinks that only girls should do gym but he doesn't realize no matter how many times I tell him that it takes balance and thats what gym teaches you. .... I hope someday my kids learn to trust me

Is it better to beg for forgiveness or ask permission?!

I called Zack the other day and posed him with the age old question "Is it easier to beg for forgiveness or ask for permission?" He must not know me well because he responded with "Well what do you want to do?" I giggled and said "I think I will beg for forgiveness" This sweet little thing was the reason I needed to beg for forgivenessI know everyone who knows me is saying "Really another dog?!?" But she is sweet, a year old, potty trained, and was free, The people were moving and already had a different dog and couldn't keep both so I randomly called thinking for sure she was already gone but she wasn't and out of everyone they liked us the most so we get to keep her. My outdoor dogs aren't happy but they are cow dogs not sweet little love me dogs.

The boys and I have been in charge of calving and feeding for a week now and I would like to quit - too bad its not possible. I had one baby die on me and then spent a few days getting another one to nurse and then I got to treat a few calves for scours, EW EW EW, I did not sign up for this, I feel so bad when I have to stab them with a needle all the while some angry mama is trying to eat me for dinner, I really honest and truly don't believe you can have cows and not swear, Its just not in the cards. On a better note, Along with all of our adventures lately I even took the time to repaint our laundry/first place everyone sees when they walk in our house. I think it turned out pretty cute if I don't say so myself. Hopefully spring will be here shortly because we are bored here and I'm pretty sure everyone else is too

uhhhh...

You know that moment when you totally realize that you have been checked out of life for a while... hehe I had one of those today. I have been reading the book, The Dark Side of the Light Chasers, and have been loving it and have not been really checked in on life outside of my little world, and guess what! I love it. My baby turned two last month, and you would think for being a photographer I would have pictures, ummm yah I don't. He is growing like a weed and talks in complete sentences all the time. The kid never cries, the other day he fell on a knife his dad had just got done sharpening and it was nasty gross and the kid didn't cry once. Sometimes I wonder if he feels pain at all. He is insanely good at tattling all the time. Which is cute but gets old in a hurry sometimes. I think I will start potty training him real soon, the kid brings me a new diaper anytime he does anything in it but he refuses to go on the toliet. Thomas is growing as well just not as fast. He is loving his gymnastics class and is always excited to show us what he has learned. He is also learning the art of creating value in other peoples life so they will create value in his. Good thing the only value he wants created is for someone to be his bull, but I figure its a good lessson to learn now. Zackary has been farming and cowing and probably crying behind my back :). After somewhat of a crazy winter, which we has one cow get stuck in the river and after zack spent 2 hours in the freezing winter to get her out she died. Then nothing short of a miracle we found the missing 5 cows so I no longer believe in luck but rather miracles. Things are perfect or else they wouldn't be what they are. I have started a new buisness with Essential Oils, which I love, if you don't know anything about them I highly recommend learning about them. Its pretty sad because now I get excited when my kids get sick because that means I get to make them better... :) My new website for the oils is http://www.mtsavoryoils.com . And if anyone is skeptical its okay, cuz i've been there, done that, now I really do love them and use them all the time. When my kids get sick I just rub oregano, lavender, and eucalyptus on their feet, The oregano is a natural antibiotic, and it even kills colds. Lavender helps them relax and sleep and then eucalyptus clears them up so they don't have stuffy noses. I promise you I can have my kids over a cold in 3 days max. and I do it without any sleepless nights! So other than being consumed by life we are living and loving every second of it. and if you are looking for a good book to read, the one I was reading is by Debbie Ford, its more of a self-improvement but in a good way book than a light and easy read!!
