Death at our house ... Again

So death at our house is close to a daily occurence - Now nothing to terribly dramatic, when you have a herd of cows and a wife who loves to bring home puppies and other random animals its bound to happen. But our last loss was something that made everyone a little more upset than ususal. Zack has a friend who is a cowboy but has kids that are not. So we borrowed this cute little shetland pony from him because his kids didn't ride her anyways. So we get her home, love her and ride her for, oh about 2-3 weeks. She's kind of stubborn and set in her old ways and I had saddled her and taken the boys for a ride but then had to leave to go feed cows. I got lazy and left the saddle on her and told Zack when he got home she needed unsaddled. Well he went outside and she wouldn't let him catch her (she was just in a small round pen) but insisted on running. So as she was running and being ignorant she turned too fast on her leg and it snapped in half. Me and the boys were watching and it was a tiny bit tramatic. Zack had to go get a gun and shoot her. It was needless to say a very upsetting evening for all of us but it was my 3 year old who comforted me. Sometimes you forget what a grasp they have on the world around them. Later Tom kept on asking me where the pony was and I would tell him well she's in heaven with Grandpa tom, Jet and Tiny (when anything dies this is automatically the list we have to go through of who they are with in heaven). He would then get upset and say 'No, we haven't buried her yet, WHERE is she?!" so now as it goes we have to find him a new pony, heres to hoping we don't have a replay of the last one.

Gosh I have never updated on what my sweet little children are doing so here goes:

Tom is now 3 1/2 and into everything that his cousin Roan or Zack are into.

- He is an entertainer through and through. He loves attention and is always singing or dancing to get a laugh out of someone

- He always randomly tells me how much he loves me (especially when he is in trouble or made his little brother cry)

-He loves his little brother and for the most part play well together

- He refuses to count

There are so many fun things that kid does that I really should write them all down, there is never a dull moment with him and we are so blessed to have him in our lives

Little Levi is now 14 months old

- He tries to do everything Tom does

- Always climbing on something

- Constantly bugging the dog

- LOVE LOVE LOVES outside, he is always bringing me his shoes so he can go play

- has 8 teeth and is working on 2 more

- giggles when I clean his nose out with the bulb syringe

We love our little levi just as much and can't wait to watch them grow up

Oh my I have been a horrible blog slacker, but oh man its been a crazy few months. Zack leaving me for 3 1/2 weeks was long and not a whole lot of fun but it has led to bigger and better things for us. Zack drove truck back to Maine and then worked on a welding job for a previous employer that he hadn't worked for in years since he decided to become self employed. When he got home we went about our normal everyday lives until about 2 weeks later that employer called and offered him a job as shop foreman. Now while Zack is not crazy about a 9-5

job (which I don't know why he works twice that long on a normal day being self employed) but all the same I have loved having the regular paychecks and all the benefits that come with the job. We have started calving season and I don't do cows. Its like my day isn't complete unless i'm covered in cow crap and afterbirth. yuck. Levi turned a year old and I got some cute pictures but umm yeah one of Zacks friends knocked over the laptop and it is now undergoing construction and so until then most of my pictures are unavalible. I did get an off camera flash for my camera and I am Loving it. Now If I could just get my littlest one to stay out of stuff it might just be safe. Levi is into climbing on everything and teasing his older brother, while thomas is into screaming at his little brother. AHH I didn't know that they could fight this much but it happens I guess. Well off to deal with the smallest one, for the millionth time today!

busy busy busy

we have been insanely busy the past month, we had Opeys birthday, then Kara had her baby, then Jamie got married, then chirstmas, then our anniversary, yay for four years! and then of course our anniversary is on new years eve so we get to celebrate both together and then Opey is gone for a little while working out of town so its been insanely busy trying to get everything done and ready to go for everything. My hubby of course took the laptop with him so I don't have any of my pictures on this computer which is a bummer because I have so many to share. Oh well he will be back soon enough and then I can get caught up on my slacking!

Levi - 11 months

I know I am a little late on this one but not by too far, My little pudgey budgey turned 11 months, I can't believe it! This time last year I was very pregnant living in Wyoming hoping I didn't give birth over there. Levi at 11 months has 6 teeth, he started getting them at 9 months so we have averaged about a tooth a week. Not Fun! He is walking everywhere and when he gets in trouble he has the saddest fake cry ever, He also likes to walk around jabbering and saying No no no no no, over and over again. He likes to wrestle with his big brother and tries to do everything Thomas does, Thomas is an awesome big brother and is very patient with him and actually does really good sharing, even if the two of them sure can fight over nothing. Levi loves our Snacks dog and is always trying to climb on top of him and bug him. He also loves to try and get in the toliet, some sort of obession with water, he also loves to take baths and usually cries when I get him out. We sure do love him and love having him around!

Time well lost

I have been wasting my time lately to make my blog look better, which I didn't really win on but at least its different. It takes me twice as long as the average person to read directions step by step, then tell Levi No five hundred times because he keeps on hitting the laptop, then I have to stop to console him because he has the really sad cry when he gets in trouble and i'm a huge push over, oh well.

Levi now has 5 and 1/2 teeth in his little mouth and we have suffered through everyone of them. I don't recall it being this difficult when Tom teethed. Who knows? At least I am glad to say the kid is sleeping clear through the night everynight (or maybe he wakes up sometimes but I just don't hear him?!?) I am just glad that it will be a LONG time before we have another kid, so I can just enjoy my sleep for a while.

Thomas is just crazy, full of stories and always coming up with something new to do. His new thing is to climb on his little house and plays spiderman.

We are now the proud owners of a wood stove that works. That thing has been sitting in my living room for who knows how long being my TV stand, No one told me what white trash I was to use it as my TV stand until I had to move my TV off. It happens! I'll have to take a picture one of these days once we finish the floor and wall. (it still needs help) but we are warm and Opey has proudly told everyone "we have gone green" because we no longer use the furnace. (this is as green as opey will ever go and he is only doing it so we don't have a crazy power bill this year)

We also did new family pictures, It was murder getting the boys out there and then using my remote on my camera, it didnt turn out the way I wanted it to but I think it will be the best I get for a while!

Lately

Opey traded someone cutting hay for a saddle this year and I have taken over the saddle, I love it, Even if I did fall off my horse a week ago and still have the nasty bruises to prove it. (he was at a dead run, long story, didn't end well.) Levi got to ride the horse for the first time, we were way slow on this one but with my husband busy all the time it happens, but he absolutely loved it and cried when it was time to get off. The pudgy budgey is now walking everywhere, and I do not know what to do. The kid is insane. Thomas was 14 months before he started walking and Levi took his first steps at 9 months and now is walking everywhere at 10 months, I could just cry. I know it will be a LONG time before we have anymore kids because between the 2 boys and my husband I have my hands full. Levi has also spent the past month getting a mouth full of teeth, he went from none to working on 6 in less than 2 weeks, its crazy. Thomas is just as funny as ever, In fact tonight I had a bag of chips and they were almost gone and he wanted some so he looked at me and said "You're not gonna eat all of those okay, mom, PROMISE" it was pretty dang funny. Him and Levi are constantly fighting, over what I don't know, The youngest one can't even talk but holy cow can they both scream at each other. I have been going a little crazy with practicing my photography and my poor children get SO tired of me carrying my camera around but I need the practice so they are just going to have to deal with it, My sisters and sister in laws have been nice enough to let me practice on their families so maybe someday I'll be good enough to charge people, Until then I just love practicing

Baby Butt

Now just imagine little kid squeals because he wants to get in the tub that bad - so cute!

I just had to post this - my babys cute little rolly polly butt - the kid never stops eating cuz he loves it so much and he loves to take baths, tonight he got both. I gave him a halloween oreo cookie (yes thats chocolate, no he's not a year old yet, yes I know he shouldn't be having chocolate yet, No I really don't care) <- just to clarify for anyone who raises their child by the book. Anyways, he loved the cookie all over his face and I couldn't quit laughing -

Oh one quick story about Tom - the other day I was walking around picking up the house while Levi was down for a nap, I couldn't see Tom but he was kinda being noisy so I asked him what he was doing, "Hooker things" was the reply I got, a little curious I asked him what exactly that was and he proceeds to tell me "I'm a hooker mom" as if I'm the stupidest person he knows (imagine a little 3 year old voice that just sounds irritated as all get out), well I turned the corner to see what in the heck he was talking about and he had a hanger that was bent like a hook that he was carrying around, at which point any sort of response I had died on my lips.
